OVERNIGHT SCHEDULE
Our signature overnight program has been bringing debate campers together since 2002. It is the feature experience of our summer offerings, with unlimited enrichment and debate opportunities at all levels. Program is suitable to all debate levels, grades 7 (minimum) to grades 9 / 10.

Ashbury is one of Canada's premier independent schools, located in Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa. A Debate Camp inside Canada's beautiful capital city! Debate Camp has enjoyed the use of Ashbury's beautiful campus since 2017. This overnight camp, in particular, takes full advantage of the many galleries, museums, courts and our House of Commons - - that are very nearby. Organized outings to these sights will be a feature of our 2026 Overnight Debate Camp at Ashbury.

Chartered in 1794, Bowdoin College is private liberal arts college located in Brunswick, Maine. In the 2021 edition of the U.S. News & World Report rankings, Bowdoin was ranked tied for 6th best overall among liberal arts colleges in the United States, and Bowdoin's dining services have been ranked #1 among all universities and colleges nationally by the Princeton Review. Debate Camp has enjoyed the use of Bowdoin's beautiful campus in the heart of Maine (and its outstanding dining experience) since 2023.

Cate School, founded in 1910 is a selective university-preparatory school nestled on the southwest mesa slopes of a 150 acre property near the Santa Ynez Mountains, 11 miles from Santa Barbara, California. Named after legendary Headmaster Curtis Wolsey Cate, the school routinely ranks among top US boarding and 9th - 12th grade academic institutions. Debate Camp's newest locations for summer 2026 - we look forward to welcoming campers to a campus with 360 degree vistas of the mountains and ocean for a quintisential west-coast experience.

Portsmouth Abbey School is a coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 to 12. Founded in 1926 by the English Benedictine community, the School is located on a 525-acre campus along Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay. Today the school, often referred to as "the Abbey," has students from 17 nations and 26 states. Debate Camp is pleased to add this beautiful Atlantic seaside campus to our repetoire of overnight camp locations for 2026.

Founded in 1917, Shawnigan Lake School is set on a beautiful 270 acre lakeside campus, 45 minutes north of Victoria, British Columbia. One of Canada's most well known and beautiful independent boarding schools, this west coast gem was where it all started - hosting our first ever Debate Camps from 2002 until 2007. Debate Camp is thrilled to be returning to this iconic location in 2025 and hosting our first ever 2 steam camp, with a Model United Nations exclusive alongside our traditional debate & Model UN program.

KING'S EDGEHILL SCHOOL, WINDSOR, NS
Founded in 1789, King's Edgehill is Canada's oldest independent boarding and day university-preparatory school located in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Nestled in the Annapolis Valley region, Debate Camp has successfully hosted camps at KES since 2009. Among its premier sports and co-curriculars is the KES competitive debate program, something camp is pleased to curate and support each school year. The King's Edgehill School Library building (shown above), also one of the oldest and most beautiful in Canada is the perfect setting for the full group components of our summer program
