OVERNIGHT MUN PROGRAM

TYPICAL DAY

Morning: Community & Academic Focus

Days begin with a structured morning routine that promotes independence and responsibility.

  • Wake-up & Breakfast

  • Arrival / Sign-In & Icebreakers

  • Director-Led Goal Setting to frame the day’s learning objectives

  • Morning Instructional Blocks, including:

    • Skill-based seminars

    • Level-appropriate workshops

    • Structured practice rounds and activities

 

Campers are grouped intentionally based on experience and ability, ensuring that instruction is both challenging and supportive.

DAY 1 (Sunday): Arrival & Community Building

Late Morning to Early Afternoon: Skill Building & Application

Midday programming emphasizes hands-on learning and active participation.

  • Instructional seminars (e.g., content development, refutation, extension & weighing)

  • Guided practice rounds and simulations

  • Rotating workshops to keep learning dynamic

  • Lunch and wellness breaks built into the schedule

This structure allows campers to immediately apply what they’ve learned while receiving real-time feedback from instructors.

DAY 2 (Monday): Foundations & Skill Development

With routines established, campers begin diving deeper into structured learning.

  • Morning goal setting and warm-up activities

  • Skill-based seminars and guided practice

  • Small-group workshops tailored to experience level

  • Afternoon recreation and team challenges

  • Evening creative or camp-wide activities

  • Reflection and dorm time

Focus: Core skills and confidence-building

DAY 3 (Wednesday): Application & Practice

Campers apply what they’ve learned through hands-on activities and simulations.

  • Advanced workshops and interactive sessions

  • Structured practice rounds and feedback

  • Rotating activity blocks to keep learning dynamic

  • Outdoor recreation and downtime

  • Evening games, themed activities, or creative sessions

  • Dorm reflection and staff support

Afternoon: Balance Through Recreation

Every afternoon includes dedicated recreation and downtime, recognizing that rest and play are essential to learning.​

  • Rotating daily activities (e.g., beach time, chess, face painting, and more)

  • Outdoor games and all-camp activities

  • Team challenges and creative group games

  • These shared experiences help build friendships, confidence, and community—often just as meaningfully as time spent in the classroom.

DAY 4 (Thursday): Leadership & Collaboration

This day emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and peer learning.

  • Afternoon free time and recreation

  • Evening signature activities or special events

  • Reflection and goal setting for the final days

DAY 5 (Friday): Advanced Learning & Enrichment

Campers tackle more complex material and higher-level challenges.

  • Advanced seminars and skill refinement

  • Extended practice or simulations

  • Recreational balance built into the afternoon

  • Evening social activities and community bonding

  • Dorm time and staff check-ins

Evening: Community, Creativity & Signature Experiences

Evenings are where the overnight experience truly shines.

  • Group dinners and shared meals

  • Creative and social activities such as:

    • Poster challenges and presentations

    • Camp-wide games and themed activities

    • Movie nights, campfires, and dances

  • Special off-campus field trips experiences

Each night winds down with dorm time and reflection, helping campers recharge for the next day.

DAY 6 (Saturday): Celebration & Showcase

The program culminates in a day that celebrates growth and achievement.

  • Final learning sessions or showcase activities

  • Camp-wide events and tournaments or simulations

  • Awards, recognition, and group celebrations

  • Closing reflections and community activities

  • Final evening event or celebration

Overnight & Staff Support

  • Campers stay in supervised dorms

  • Nightly staff meetings ensure safety, consistency, and strong communication

  • Optional reflective or low-energy activities (e.g., stargazing) are offered on select nights

DAY 7 (Sunday): Departure & Reflection

The final day is calm, structured, and reflective.

  • Final group check-ins and wrap-ups

  • Pack-up and departure
