A specialized program built for experienced debaters taking next steps towards improved competition.
PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
MASTERS CAMP: Advanced seminars, high level feedback, and competitive training for debaters with prior experience. Classes will cover higher level forms of argumentation, content seminars, and mixed styles of debate. Feedback on debate rounds comes from some our most accomplished and experienced Program Staff:

Patrick Cowley has been with Debate Camp for four years. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Philosophy at Queen's University. He served as the 176th President of the Queen’s Debating Union as well as a Vice President and Treasurer for the Canadian University Society for Intercollegiate Debate. He has broken as a speaker at the Hart House IV, Canadian Parliamentary Nationals, the Canadian British Parliamentary Championship. He has also judged out-rounds at the North American University Debating Championship, Canadian Parliamentary Nationals and the Central Canadian Novice Debating Championship. Patrick has also represented Queen's and Canada twice at the World Universities Debating Championship in both South Africa and Thailand.
TEAMWORK: Online participants co-develop cases, debate as a team and receive feedback together; often as a side - pointing out strengths of argumentation and delivery.
SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT: Our online program is a supportive place, with lots of encouragement and feedback for participants. They are coached to honour what is being said by their opponents and welcome the efforts of others, even in competition.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Upon registration we kindly request that campers verify their previous debate experiences; stating either their attendance at previous Debate Camp sessions and / or competitive debate experience. Campers must be age 12 and / or entering 8th grade (at minimum) register
